CARE GUIDE
EXPERTS' TIPS
Our garments are meticulously crafted with passion and expertise in our workshops, where the art of the shirt has thrived since 1968. To guarantee their durability and ongoing comfort, our experts share their care tips with you.
COLD WASH
For all our shirts, except silk (see special considerations below), we recommend machine-washing at 30° with the shirt buttoned and inside out. This precaution helps protect the fabric and mother-of-pearl buttons from the drum movements.
AIR-DRYING
Above all, avoid using a tumble dryer as it can prematurely damage your shirts.
We recommend air-drying them on a hanger in a well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight.
GENTLE IRONING
Our shirts can be ironed at a maximum temperature of 110°C.
Our experts' tip: iron your shirt when it's slightly damp, laying it flat on the ironing board. If it's already dry, spray a little water evenly over the entire shirt, taking care not to soak it.
IRONING STEPS
Be careful not to pass the iron over the buttons or heat-sensitive wires.
-
1. The back
Lay your shirt flat so that the yoke (upper back and shoulders) is aligned with the ironing board head. Iron slowly downwards. Then iron the sides.
-
2. The front
Start by placing one shoulder on the pointed part of the ironing board. Iron from top to bottom, keeping the fabric taut. Iron the button placket inside out using an even motion to avoid fabric distortion and bypassing sewing knots. Switch to the other side.
-
2. The sleeves
Lay the sleeve flat on the ironing board. Iron from top to bottom, making a clean fold at the top of the sleeve. Then turn the sleeve over, aligning the fold, and repeat this step.
-
3. The cuffs
Unbutton the bottom sleeves and lay them flat on the ironing board. Iron from the inside to the outside of the cuffs. Gently iron around the buttons, never over them.
-
4. The collar
Unfold your collar and gently iron the outside, sliding the iron from one point of the collar to the other.
SILK
Our 100% silk shirts and blouses require special care due to the delicate nature of their fabric:
1. We recommend dry-cleaning.
2. Machine drying is not recommended.
3. We suggest ironing at a temperature not exceeding 150°C, using steam only.
