A love story turning 5

Real feelings.
Everyday moments.
No big speeches required.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the “Je t’aime” shirt, Figaret unveils its very first dedicated campaign. With a cinematic aesthetic, it echoes the origins of this unisex shirt with its romantic embroidery, freely inspired by Claude Sautet’s film Les Choses de la Vie.

With the “Je t’aime” shirt, Figaret creates an iconic piece where clothing becomes language, and love is worn close to the skin.

THE ORIGINS

IT ALL STARTED WITH...

“I wanted to create a shirt that tells a story, without ever imposing it.”

This is how Éléonore Baudry, President of Figaret, describes the genesis of the “Je t’aime” shirt — a piece born from a simple desire: to bring emotion into the wardrobe, and transform the everyday into something deeply personal.

Inspired by culture, cinema, and a love of words, she imagined a unisex shirt with discreet embroidery, placed on the inside of the button placket, close to the heart. A statement shirt, but in a whisper.

Originally designed in crisp white poplin, the “Je t’aime” collection has grown season after season.
Denim, poplin, linen — new fabrics and embroideries in a rich palette of colors offer endless variations on the same signature.

Shirts always made to be gifted, shared, and passed on effortlessly.

THE ORIGINS

A CULTURAL ANCHOR

The “Je t’aime” shirt is rooted in the House’s stylistic and cultural heritage. Freely inspired by Claude Sautet’s 1970 film Les Choses de la Vie, it pays tribute to French cinema and creative talent — values close to Figaret’s heart.

Its amorous embroidery echoes the final words typed by Pierre (Michel Piccoli) to Hélène (Romy Schneider): a declaration suspended in time, and an enduring source of inspiration.
